To do this, we’re working to inspire a generation of changemakers to make the planet more beautiful every single day.

Love Beauty and Planet delivers brilliant care for your hair and body and does it while carefully evaluating every step of our products’ lifecycles with the aim of having a carbon footprint so small, it’s like we weren’t even here. We have big ambitions and, we’re on a journey to continuously improve.

Our new, patent pending ‘Fast Rinse’ technology, is designed to make it easier for you to save water. It sits quietly while the rest of the conditioner works its magic. Then, when you rinse your hair, it’s like it comes to life. The technology breaks down the conditioner into millions of tiny molecules, allowing them to be washed away quickly, so you can rinse it out in less time. But you also need to do your part: go easy on the tap and let’s make a difference together!

Dry Shampoos are a great way to extend time between washes, helping save water and energy. Our dry shampoos are only available in aerosol cans as that is currently the best format to deliver efficacy. That said, on our journey, we will continue to seek out new technologies and packaging options that minimize our environmental footprint while meeting consumers’ needs.

Reducing our environmental footprint is core to our mission of leaving the planet a little more beautiful than we found it. We’re approaching this goal holistically, by paying attention to all aspects of the product journey, including both our ingredients and packaging. For example, our in-shower product bottles are 100% recyclable and are made from 100% recycled plastic. We’re also obtaining certain ingredients, like murumuru butter, from certified sustainable sources.

Using these ingredients supports the livelihoods of the communities that produce them and helps reduce our environmental impact versus alternative sourcing methods. Other ingredients are not yet available from sustainable feedstocks, but we regularly work with our suppliers to find more sustainable sourcing methods. We have big ambitions and, we’re on a journey to continuously improve.

Carbon emissions are an inevitable output of producing our products due to the need for energy, transport and sourcing. We track our total carbon emissions across the value chain using internally recognized standards, and plan to tax ourselves for these emissions (excluding consumer use). This taxation goes into a Carbon Tax Fund owned by the brand, which in turn is used to support relevant programs that aim to improve the planet through our sustainable living pillars.

Our full-size packs of in-shower product bottles are recyclable, as are the bottles and jars used in our line of lotions and our deodorant canisters. Our caps are recyclable too – just leave them on the bottle. We’re still working on some of our other packaging, as a result of the materials and technologies readily available to us at this time. However, we are committed to continuous improvement and looking for new ways to package our products, as well as using packaging made from recycled materials whenever possible.
